I think those who are commenting that the people being replaced have not been very good are missing the point, IMO. To my mind, the key quotes are these:

There is no actual RNC anymore. There is only the Trump campaign. Everything the "RNC" does is going to be focused on one thing only, electing Trump. He is the only candidate that counts. Everyone else is in his orbit.
